My friend Tom's fun and fascinating podcast about math: Math For Primates. You totally don't have to know anything about math to enjoy this![More:]

Podcasts will cover Mathematics Education, Evolutionary Game Theory, Mathematical Philosophy, Logic, Quantum nonsense, and anything else that seems even remotely tied to mathematics in science or society.

He says:
The concept I pitched to Nick [his collaborator] was, "Let's talk about math from the platform of 'Math that humans are likely to want to know, because it's about other humans.'"

Social conflict. Sex. Beauty.

It gives us an excuse to talk extensively about game theory. And, game theory is a key place to teach humans mathematics, because we seem to have some optimized "cheat detection" in our brains.

You can read an interview with him here.
I'm pretty sure I've said this on flickr, but damn, Tom seems like a cool guy.

Rich, you guys would LOVE each other; I really want to get you guys in the same room. You're probably just going to have to visit us after we move to Portland.

Portland eh? It's been a looooong time. I bet it'd be nice to visit WITHOUT my parents. Hee hee.

He also made Boing Boing recently. The podcasts are well worth a listen - I'm terrible at maths but found them easy to understand and enjoyable.

The comments on boingboing said what I wanted to say.
