Everything That's Happened on "Lost" So Far, Just from Memory SPOILERS APLENTY[More:]Mrs. B. recently started watching the entire series from the beginning - which means that I recently started watching the entire series from the beginning. We are now at the early episodes of Season 2. And any slight doubt that I might have had that there was to be no payoff to this farrago of nonsense - in short: that they were just making this shit up as they went along - was forever put to rest by this article.
Lost lost me the second season.

Heh! Reminds me of The Coach Blog, where every post starts out along the lines of: "I seem to remember this one episode that takes place at Christmas time..." or "I'm pretty sure there was one in which they bought a dog...", et cetera.

Why? I mean, I too am convinced that they have known the story arc from the beginning, but what about the article convinced you?

I stopped watching late in Season 2. That link was hilarious though.

And I thought Battlestar got silly at times.

In season 2, I think they started to have filler episodes. Once the series got a set end point, they started to keep the story a little tighter.

One thing that I found really impressive was how there are things that are briefly shown in an early season (so for a few seconds) that are important but not mentioned again until the current season, meaning they either had a plan, or are just really good at making stuff up.

"... or are just really good at making stuff up. "

By making death so abundant (I've lost count of how many people have been shot in the chest) and rebirth so cheap, the creators of Lost have really made it easy for themselves.
