I feel both slightly more and slightly less crazy than I did five minutes ago. Pursuant to this post, has anyone here ever seen an unidentified object which may or may not have happened to be flying at the time?
[More:]
I didn't want to post in there and regret it already because it is ridiculous, but maybe with additional details someone may answer it someday.

Anyone else similarly plagued by an inexplicable memory?
Inexplicable memories are interesting. I have a couple. My understanding is that the act of recalling a memory causes it to be reinforced in the way it was remembered. So over time, it will deviate from its original form through this kind of "generational loss". This is why "recovered" memories and courtroom testimony long after the event are both horribly unreliable. The more one goes over a memory, the more reading/rewriting cycles it goes through.

Anyone remember SkyLab? In 1978, it was orbiting very low as it was getting ready to come into our atmosphere and crash. At the time, my brother and I were visiting our father in California. One night, along with a throng of people, we went to a dark hilltop to watch Skylab cross the night sky. At the same time, heading in a different direction, we saw something else up there as well. The next day, in the newspaper, there was a brief article about the "ufo"; speculating that it was a spy satellite, or something, but no one seemed to know what it was. That was my one and only brush with an unidentified flying object.
