Movie time! Do you like Watership Down? I do! It has bunnies!
One of a few movies that I was taken to as a child, but it was completely over my head (I was the youngest in the family). I think I pretended to like it so that my older sister wouldn't again call me stupid.
Some movies I could and did watch over and over well into my teens. Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, Sea Prince and Fire Child, Nausicaä, Jem and the Holograms... ok, they weren't all classics but it pained my soul when my parents or brother would inadvertently tape over my beloved VHS collection of movies...
TheDonF and I watched this recently, but when we mentioned it here and that we were thinking of the MetaChat bunnies, people seemed mildly horrified that we would remember them at such a time!
I like it. Along with The Last Unicorn. And other things that a now 35-year-old would have watched in her childhood.
I loved the book, and I liked the movie. I wouldn't be put-off by you thinking of us during the movie, Specklet. Heck, every time I see a bunny anywhere I think of my friends here.
I didn't even know there was a movie. doh! I'd love to see it. And I'm pretty sure it would make me think of the metachat bunnies. Just like this does:
