how good were the Stones in 1969? Listen for yourself.

When I do, picturing this man drawling a song as lyrically pitch black as "Stray Cat Blues", I wish I had been there.

Saw them in '69, thank you.

Had tickets for the second show of the night (LA Forum) and they finally came on at 5am. Really good though, with Jagger commenting that he wished he'd brought his toothbrush along.

This was the tour in which Tina Turner turned the mike stand into a sex toy.
