Oh! And Baby girl starts big-kid group in pre-school today and is so exited. So that's a three part happy update!

I have an interview tomorrow that I am really hopeful about the job. Keep your fingers crossed, I think it's enough of a match that it'll come down to personalities clicking / not clicking.

We took a walk yesterday in the magical, secret wooded hill near our house, and we let Sky off the leash for the first time. No way we'll ever be able to let her walk with us off-leash anywhere near a street; she's sillystupid if she sees another dog, and will dash through traffic to get to one, so this is one of the very few places we can try this. She was ecstatic, but this isn't an all-good story, because as we were leaving, we saw a new sign (not there the last time we visited) that said something like, "It is strictly prohibited to drop/distribute (something... not sure what verb was used) poison anywhere on city property" - meaning someone has been putting poison out here. Meaning we're probably not going to feel like letting her off leash again there.

She ran around snacking on grass and sniffing up everything... if there were any food, she would have snarfed it up, and too far away for us to see it first and stop her. :(

Happy, happy, happy with the snow. Snowball fights, angels, snowman half completed...........curled up on the sofa watching TV ;)

I made the realization that I can afford a viola! They have a rent-to-own program, and the monthly rental payment is very, very cheap! Woo-hoo! More ways to waste time!

I haz Bruce Springsteen tickets for his show at the Mellon Arena in May! Yay. Ms. Octo managed to get four floor tickets in the 28 minutes that between going on sale and selling out. I've wanted to see him for about thirty years and never have.

I am getting a washer and dryer. After 10 years of trekking to the laundromat once a week, I am actually going to have my very own washer/dryer. I didn't realize how sick I was of the laundromat until I signed the papers and planned the delivery and then it was like, JOY! Yay!

I solved 2 clusterfucks at work all by myself!

I gave my landlady the weekend to think about how she insulted me last week and she apologized to me today and said we should never fight again, so I played guitar for her and sang her a song (Leadbelly's "Don't Lie Buddy"); there's an Italian Vogue photo shoot going on in the space I planned to use for work staging so I took the afternoon off. I think I might go buy a game for my new PC, maybe Galactic Civilizations II, which sounds like it might be right up my alley (Sins of a Solar Empire also sounds cool but maybe a little too deep). Then again, I saw they have a new version of Sid Meier's Pirates!, which is maybe my favorite game ever. I like this sort of quandary. I also need to get a laptop sleeve before I take this thing anywhere. Maybe Circuit City has some going-out-of-business sales. A little work and its attendant pay does the heart wonders.

Why aren't there any Italian Vogue photo shoot's going on in my spaces? That must have been a hoot to see. :)

I wanted to come back here and respond but I was oh so sleepy, have to say that the emailed comments from thread made me smile, every single one.

And tomorrow I'm taking baby girl to the movies as a mid-week treat because she's adapting well to the big kid group and deserves to see Bolt. Just the girls an a big box of popcorn. Yeay!
