Jan, as you see in image #2 we started with a bun, and carefully traced it onto numerous cards. After a while though, she started trying to eat them.

This was sooo much fun! We bought some inexpensive blank cards at the craft store, drew a little mock up to make sure we had hinge room, then made a full size model. Pie traced and cut them out, and I drew the little faces. You can't see the insides, but we attached a scrap of colored paper with "Happy Holidays" burnished on the inside. It was truly a joint effort.

Made for a fun evening project, though I wouldn't want to do more than 20 or so. The population would EXPLODE!!

Awww, very cute. I [heart] arts and crafts people.

On the other hand, pets (and people) with camera flash red eyes still scare me. You'd think I'd be desensitised by now, but no. Eep.
