2) We only just got durable power of attorney for my dad, but now we may have to go straight to a competency hearing. We're trying to PAY DOWN debt, but he was on the phone to CitiFinancial trying to get a NEW LOAN. Then he said we had to take my Mom's van over there so they could "take a look at it". Partly because he wrecked the old van in June, THERE ARE NO OTHER VEHICLES and my Mom needs that van for her job -- there's no way we're going to collateralize it. He quite simply did not understand that the nice man on the phone had a reason for wanting to get the information about it. We may have to spend $70 just to sign it over to my mom or myself so they can't get their grubby hands on it.

3) My cat Fry probably has a UTI and there's no money.

2. Took the car to the shop to fix the leaking power steering, filling that sucker up every other day hasn't been fun. $400 for a new pump, hopefully it will be done tonight so I can go to class tonight and work tomorrow without having to take the bus.

2.a. I've never ridden the Anchorage bus system, and public transportation always makes me very stressed. What if I get on the wrong one? Going the wrong way? Miss my stop? Someone wants to sit by me and the smell?

3. Still no word on my grandmother's funeral, waiting for someone to decide on a date and time. Someone just pick something, please, so I can stop waiting and drive to Homer.

1. Had a phone interview for a job today, it's not my dream job but it doesn't sound bad and it would be a 10 minute walking commute. They want me to come in and interview next week.

2. It's very odd going from working full time at my job and spending all my spare hours volunteering for Obama to having nothing productive to do.

1. I have uncovered yet another clusterfuck at work. Of course, by the time I uncovered it, the boss had left for the day. It's not going to be pretty tomorrow. (These microcards that had been shrinkwrapped in cabinets since they were sent to the old building are a set that only 3 libraries in the world have. Oops.)

2. I'm very nervous about the presentation I have to give on Thursday. I don't like talking in front of people, especially when I'm afraid that I'm going to sound like I have no clue what I'm talking about.

3. I'm worried about my life after my epic trip next year. I'm worried that I'm making plans that might not be able to be followed out. *bites nails* I know that this is what I want to do. I know what I want to have happen afterwards, but I'm not sure if I can make it all happen the way I want it to happen or if I'll just end up burning too many bridges to survive.

1. I found out yesterday that my dear dear friend's younger brother is heavily addicted to some nasty drugs. Their whole family is reeling with shock, and have a very good idea of what's happening, as the mother works with addicts in prison.

2. I'm counting down until Christmas, really looking forward to having a proper break. I'm tired, and weary, and longing for sleep.
