I love your posts like these, matteo. I still need to make that basic cheesecake from the NYT article.

I remember a time I was at Harrod's in London. We chatted briefly with another American couple the street outside. They were stopping in London on their way to Italy. There is a Krispy Kreme in Harrod's. The donuts are very expensive, around 2 or 3 dollars, American. The woman said, "I wanted to buy a Krispy Kreme, but they are so expensive. They hand them out free in Kentucky." hee.

Donuts might be my favorite thing about living in LA. Not really, I suppose, but I LOVE LA donuts. My personal favorite are the donuts at the Farmer's Market.
