One of our cats died this morning.→[More:] His ruined kidneys had finally failed and last night it was obvious he was on the way out...
When my time comes I can but hope there's a kindly lady veterinarian at hand to administer the final injection, then check my pulse has stopped, and lay me out on a fleece blanket.
It was strange to witness a death on such a beautiful spring day, and my sadness felt oddly out of place in the sunshine & the birdsong & the fragrant breeze, as I sat on the empty cat-carrier, waiting for my taxi home.
Oh misteraitch, I'm sorry. He looks like a wise old guy - he's in a better place. May the spring and beautiful weather make it easier to let him go. (((hugs)))
I am so sorry. .it's never easy. . .our back yard is a pet cemetery, and every death is wrenching. The blessing is that our vet comes to the house and does it, and does not charge.
He looks like an owl or a stern captain of a spaceship.
So sorry, mister h.
My little Bees will be a funny old lady, then this Master Blaster act will become mandatory.
He was loved and that is so much more than many can say.
.
Those pictures are absolutely beautiful, particularly the one in the sunbeam. I'm saddened by the loss of such a lovely animal, but echoing jouke I'm sure he had a very happy life with you.
I'm now going to let my big white fluff ball of a cat get hair all over my dress as I hug her and not complain one bit.
