I'm transferring all my karma points to her, and after the lousy week or so I've had (nothing compared to this, just a string of minor annoyances), they've got to be worth something, so she's got this in the bag. No worries.

Minor anecdote: I was watching Star Trek: Voyager last night, and it was this episode. In it, Chakotay is injured, and a bunch of former borg use some sort of borg collective thought power thing (described as a "neural link") to pool their thoughts and literally will Chakotay to get better. I couldn't help but chuckle and think that it's essentially what we try to achieve with these threads, only we lack the super creepy We Are Legion-esque hive mind voice.

oh wow.

Aww, you guys! Thank you for your loving good wishes. Brings tears to my eyes.

Just looked at my Yahoo email account. I usually use gmail these days and there was hadjiboy's tip to check this thread.

I was so scared about having that thyroid biopsy, a long needle twice in the neck and repeatedly jabbed. unnnggg.

But it was easier than I expected and the doctors really were very nice. (A shout out to Dr. Jean Baptiste for his excellent needle technique! woo hoo. My carotid and jugular are still in tact, he didn't hit anything he wasn't supposed to, lol)

The nurse from Burma, Thanmien, was nice too.

I think your prayers, good wishes and thoughts made a big difference. Really.

Next week will see the head and neck oncologist, make an appointment for the lymph gland in the back of my neck to be removed, for another biopsy. And then after that the results, whatever they are.

Your thoughts fill my heart with joy and gratitude.
