Super Mario Galaxy is the most fun I've had since... Super Mario World 3!
I agree, we've been playing it a lot. Just this game is worth the price of the Wii for cheap entertainment!

There was one night where we were completely certain we had been playing for at most 45 minutes. It turned out that it was 3 in the morning and we had been playing for about 5 hours!

Fun stuff.

I bought it on its release date, but I'm putting it off until after the Christmas holidays so that I can give it the undivided attention it deserves.

(In the meantime, it's been Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles for me. If you're into lightgun games like House of the Dead, it's a lot of fun.)

I agree that it's awesome, but a bit too easy...

I love the multi-player mode, and I'm mystified by the reviews which pan said mode. The second player is tres useful.

I agree that it's a bit easy, but I don't mind that too much. There's a lot of content packed into the game.

Bought it last Thursday afternoon, Finished it on Sunday night (well, technically Monday morning). That is to say, I got to the end credits on Sunday, but there are still *heaps* more stars to get and more levels to complete.

Absolutely incredibly well designed and put together game. I can also report that the galaxies in the final observatory (the Garden) are much more challenging, and even the easier earlier levels get a great deal more difficult when the various comets are in orbit and you're trying to complete them within a time limit, or with only 1 health, or with the baddies running at double speed.

So is it just the boy and I that were made nauseous by playing it? We had to turn it off because the constant switching views made us motion sick. We laughed at the irony of getting motion sick while sitting on the couch.

Really want to find a copy for my son, but may be too late. Go ahead and tease...

I've also heard those complaints that it's too easy, and I think that those kinds of complaints really speak to not only Nintendo's strategy w/the Wii, but also to a big problem with long-running video game series. How can you make something that's not too easy for longtime fans, yet still enjoyable for new players? The Wario Ware games do a really good job of this, I think, while recent Tony Hawk games do a really bad one.

My sisters make fun of me because I let them borrow it over the weekend and they got farther in 2 days than I have since it came out. Honestly, I think I'd rather just help collect star bits. Besides, that game disorients the crap out of me.

Oh yes, which is why I mentioned the massive amounts of content. MuddDude and I are 1 star away from powering up the engine room, yet we've got a lot of the more challenging stuff left - the comet levels, the challenge planets, and so on.
