I believe there Hungarian bagpipers. I'm not sure that'd be different from Croatian bagpiping.

Have you ever been stalked by bagpipes? Huh? Have you?? I thought not.

It was 1992, my first real apartment. Next door to an Irish pub. Every other Friday night, bagpipes. Outside my window.

And then the bagpipers started showing up randomly. There was the one in the parking lot on the far side of campus, marching through the parking rows, piping. And then he started following me. Followed me all the way to my English class.

There were others; the memories are painful. I've gone 15 years without a bagpipe assault. I'm mostly over it, yes. But I'm staying the hell away from SF this weekend.

I was followed around for several hours by a friend of a friend's little brother who was playing the digeridoo the whole time. (Now there's some lung power.) Does that count?

Oh gods I love bagpipes. Helps that I grew up in a Scottish-settled city and so every big occasion was marked with them.

I tried, unsuccessfully, to have bagpipes for our wedding, but was forced to compromise :(
