Macarons , never had them yet want them all. Cruelly distant oh so pretty cookie, you and your pastry kind mock us all with your whimsy.
ethylene, you should make some!

Not macarons, but a fabulous cookie with coconut are Jam Thumbprints. They are delicious and easy and beautiful. This year will be my fourth year making them. My MIL, my mom, and I are just about the only ones that eat them. A lot of people don't like coconut. The mind boggles. But what the hay, I still make them.

Wow... I just LOVE beautiful sweets. There's a semi-pricy sweet shop on my corner but they only tend to do American stuff- cakes sold whole or by the slice, etc. There's no french sweets in Buffalo. Which is a real shame as they seem to make things with the most amazing balance of taste and beauty.
I should try and find a nice sweet shop for next time I go to Toronto. Any suggestions from Toronto bunnies?
