I drive by those stacks all the time. Sheffield is kind of famous for being rather industrial.

pie: I'm pretty sure that's Drax power station, which is coal burning, and single handedly the UK's biggest emitter of CO2. But that comes out of the chimney - the stuff coming out of the towers is ordinary steam.
