While looking up restaurant reviews online, I have discovered that a place around the corner from my office "exhumes intimacy" and that "you'd think people who spend all their time online wouldn't be particularly cute.[More:] Well, I learned a valuable lesson last night: don't judge people based on how much time they spend sitting in front of a computer. Chances are, they have cuter shoes than you do, because they have more opportunities to shop for them online."
I, for one, want no part of exhumed intimacy. Please leave it in the ground where it belongs.

When you reach the point in a relationship -- even if it's only with a restaurant -- that intimacy has to be exhumed, it's plainly time to hang it up.

I know this, having held the stinking, rotting corpses of long-ago feelings and trying to stuff them into pretty clothes that I bought just for the purpose.

Well, all this exhumation sounds a little gory, but yeah, I totally have cute shoes.

Restaurant reviews are apparently a grave matter.

I remember back when I learned the Internet's First Lesson of Particularly Cute Shoes. My pores became positively ghastly with the exhumed implications of my discovery.

Now, only a few years later, I'm completely open and comfortable with my attraction to Bobo's big nasty shoes. Welcome to the circus, anonymous restaurant reviewer. Don't ever look back.

Restaurant reviews are apparently a grave matter.

"Place Around the Corner has been buried in Best of the City awards, and may urn five stars this year. Here's the dirt. When my companion and I went on a Monday night, the place was dead. However, we found the service very moving. We were soon a little lit; the tomb martinis really crypt up on us. People there really shovel it in! The atmosphere is very down to earth, though the chef has certainly undertaken an ambitious menu. When they say "smothered in sauce," watch out!"

DAMN I should have said "when they offer to smother your ribs, watch out!"

L'esprit d'escalier.

Sorry. Secretly, I am one of those people.

If you have the means, I recommend picking one up. || How Crowded Is Your Fridge?
