The interviewer should probably stick to her other job...

Wow. That was the worst interview ever. Ever! I want to know the background: Was this the interviewer's first day on the job, or did something bizarre happen to distract her, or ... what happened???

Dear God, that was painful. How in God's name did she get a job on TV?

I know that economics - making a quick buck - is the name of the game but finally somebody is realising that children who are still wet behind their earpieces cannot, just because they have watched it, make good TV without real work experience. http://www.jenibarnett.com/2007/07/midnight_at_the_oasis.php

And it was on ABC!!!! I mean, it wasn't even good enough for a cable access show!

OMG.

I've been in control rooms when something like this was going on (though, really, nothing quite as awful as this) and the stress level is just horrendous. You feel so helpless, and everybody around you is screaming and screaming... eek.

You know, this is the second or third time I've seen this posted various places, and I'm still not convinced that this actually, y'know, aired as is, unedited.

It looks like a pre-tape, but it's still heinous. And I doubt you get a do-over when you're dealing with a star on a promo tour via satellite. I'm sure they cleaned it up before air, but still... ouch.

The off-camera shriek at the end is spectacular.

Also: I want Holly Hunter's hair.

It was too painful to watch that for more than 30 seconds.

Agreed, scody. I now have a burning case of HHHE (Holly Hunter Hair Envy).

definitely a bad teleprompter read though, you can just about track her eyes, also too fidgety and god knows what else, it was painful, poor lady, find something else to do.

Somehow I do not see this journalist embedded with Marine infantry units. At least, not professionally.

I really try not to post on such topics, and it's meaningless, but I have a one degree of separation from Holly Hunter, and all persons in the between laud her personality and ethics up and down. And so yeah, Jebus, bless her heart for this!
