I love this blog. The vintage graphics section has scans of vintage Julie Newmar, Ruth Buzzi, Anna Russell (the best face ever), the art of David Peters, AND Eleganza. Heaven. The whole blog is monster (my son's latest noun to adjective conversion).

Tell me you don't secretly dig the pocket details and the hot positive/negative action.

I would venture a guess that Things Happen when you wear pants in super see-thru texture, too.

oh man, forget the fashion stuff, CHECK OUT THE OLD MUSIC MAGAZINES!!!

(excerpt from Nick Lowe interview, circa 1978):

"I'm bored with the safety-pin brigade. I look around and see all these bands, and they've got no style. It's just a fashion. I mean, if I see another group with dyed hair who thinks they're tough with razor blades around their necks, I'll go mad."

oooohhh and old Devo stuff, too! holy crap!

fuck. and all we could get out in the boofoo sticks in ohio was shitty top 40 that played billy joel, chicago and bee gees on heavy rotation. DAMMIT! i want my childhood back.

i think i remember Eleganza, at least definitely making fun of the name-- Ele-GanZA! Also, the King Collar is king.

Honestly, the only thing I don't like in that room is the carpet going up the wall. I mean, there's a VICTROLA! A Victrola in the future! And that fireplace is too great for words.
