Part 2 in jonmc's 'This Song is The Key To The Universe.' 'Ambrose Part 5' by Linda Laurie. A friend of mine once said that this song summarizes relationships perfectly. I think it has deeper mysteries to be plumbed. At any rate, it's one of the weirdest records to ever be a hit.

Omie, that record came out in 1958 and was a minor hit (and a staple on Dr. Demento), the accents and details place it somewhere in the tri-state area. Linda Laurie had a few other novelty hits (including 'Stay At Home Sue' one of the least neccessary but still amusing answer records of all time). It's one of the funniest and in it's own demented way, most profound records of all time.
