In honor of my son-in-law, who just left for basic.... "In the naaaaavy, you can sail the seven seas..."
bunny, if you don't know about The Village People by now, I don't wanna be the one to tell you...

but I wish him luck, safety and that the Commander-in-Thief never decides to increase the forces in dangerous places by putting sailors on land.

Honey, I knew about the Village People more than 25 years ago. (You do know that my date to the senior prom was gay, right?)

But I did have the dubious honor of "explaining" the Village People to my worship pastor and his wife a few months ago. Fun times, fun times.

Anyhow, his job is supposed to be working on engines below deck, so afaik he'll be okay.

I add to wishes for his safety. Hope he returns whole and better for the experience.

"Well, Reverend, that line in the chorus 'Macho, Macho, Man' it's ummmmm . . . like a joke, actually. They're not really singing the praises of masculinity or machismo. They're actually making fun of those traits."

Yeah. That does sound like a mighty awkward conversation.
