Do you own or have used a Roland SH-201? →[More:] I am going to buy another synthesizer with my next paycheque to replace the two that I sold last year. My XP-50 does fine with the PCM recreations of pianos and organs and strings and whatnot, so I think I'll get a virtual analog synth. I've looked at the Alesis Micron and the Nord Lead, but it sounds like an SH-201 would be perfect (and several hundred dollars less than a Lead 2X!).
But I have some questions about it:
* Is it really as simple to use as the marketing material says? I liked the twiddly knobs on my JP8K and navigating the 10 menu deep editing structure of my K5K rackmount taught me a good lesson about quick sound accessibility.
* Is the editing software decent?
* Is it as indestructable as other Roland synths? I don't play shows too often, but it does happen.
* Can you make complex pads with it?
And if you have a Micron or a Lead: what do you think about it?
