Why not? My mom grew up in the big-band era and liked a lot of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Some of it sorta swung okay for that genre.

I vaguely remember Patti Page covering her own hit "Mockin'bird Hill" as a disco song. For what it was, it wasn't bad at all.
