Chinatown Shoppers Trapped In Secret Basement Haaaaa. I took my cousins to Chinatown on Saturday, and we visited some secret back rooms/basements. Just got an e-mail today saying, OMG, that was so fun. I suppose being kidnapped could have ruined that fun.

Reminds me of part of my family history. In the early 1900s, a great(-great?) uncle of mine ran a flower shop in Chinatown on Mott Street. The back room housed all his bookmaking activities.

I had no idea stuff like that even existed-I mean I knew fake Pradas existed but down here in the backwards town I live in, I have no idea how to find them. Add one more thing to my fantasy NYC trip itinerary..

Dr. Klahn: Refuse, found in waterfront bars.
Loo: Shanghaied?
Dr. Klahn: Just lost drunken men who don't know where they are and no longer care.
Prisoner #1: Where are we?
Prisoner #2: I don't care!
Loo: And these?
Dr. Klahn: These are lost drunken men who don't know where they are, but do care. And these are men who know where they are and care, but don't drink.
Prisoner #3: I don't know where I am!
Prisoner #4: And I don't drink!
Dr. Klahn: Guards! (they grab the prisoners) Do you care?
Prisoner #3: No.
Dr. Klahn: Put this man in cell #1, and give him a drink.
Guard: What do you drink?
Prisoner #3: I don't care.
