What say I do a short radio test before the big Safetyfork metal show? My first time!
Can I ask a question about MacAmp? Is there a way to add stuff to your playlist live without it playing the track you're dragging in immediately? I'm not too interested in creating a set list and just letting it run.
I use Nicecast which takes my itunes and delivers whatever I'm playing to the internet. So I basically interact with itunes and with Nicecast broadcasting in the background. I use set lists, but could theoretically play things on the fly but would need to be very careful with my click, click and drag, and double click actions otherwise I'd end up accidentally starting a track in the middle of what I was already playing (I've done this) which sounds like the kind of thing you are trying to avoid as well. Uhh... which might be a long way of saying sounds like we both have the same issue despite differing technologies.
Not sure about MacAmp - I ponyed up the cash for Nicecast which does let you do that. I wonder if MacAmp is causing the XML issues - the Wiki page seems to suggest it's buggy, which is an issue as the reporting needs to be really accurate.
wooooooooaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Safteyfork's set has started!
Oh, yeah definitely more forgiving if MacAmp does that. Nicecast has a trial version which should work for a really short set if you want to try before you buy.
