I've never hated a song more than I've hated [More:] Saturday In the Park by Chicago.

Inspired by matteo, and just a song, not a whole body of work, please.
Too Close. It's a song about an erection!!!

Don't play that song
The Achy Braky Song
The most annoying song I know.

The Thong Song, My Humps (or whatever the fuck it was called) and Macarena all score high.

Anything by Kenny G

That stupid fucking stupid fucking useless annoying fucking ridiculous crazy frog piece of shit.

The day I first heard that on the radio was the day I turned the radio off and haven't turned it on again. Ever.

I *like* Saturday in the Park!

(at least I used to.... it's kind of passe' now)

Stairway to Heaven. The loogans in warehouses I'd work in would listen to either the modern rock station (crap) or the oldies station (hippie crap). Both will play this song. It makes me genocidal.

Ordinarily I'd say "anything including a performance by Eddie Vedder," but since I have to narrow it down, I'll go with "Black."

Any Bee Gees from SNF.

"My Humps" makes me recoil pretty hard.

All my avoidance has paid off, and I _still_ haven't heard My Humps. yay!

That loop from hamster dance, apparently called "Whistle Stop".

KOKOMO!!!!!!!!!
I will knock down small children just to get to the radio and turn it off. I don't just hate it, I hate that it even exists. Just knowing that at any given moment it's out there...playing somewhere...*shudders*

And, to a lesser extent, Betcha By Golly Wow by the Stylistics. That one just annoys me. It doesn't give me the Kokomo rage.

. . . to bermuda, bahama, come on pretty mamma.

(Zack, what's a loogan?)

(something that comes out of a hooligan?)

Funny you should mention Kokomo... though I guess Lindsay and Britney have shattered any humor that may be left in that parody.

Anything by the Pet Shop Boys. Rap--though someone suggested I listen to Mos Def.

Loogan = Canadian slang for a generic knuckle-dragging mouth-breather. Not quite a "hick", as they (the latter) are usually suburban.
posted by Zack_Replica 30 November | 05:30
Are loogans related to bogans? (Aka "bevans" where I live).

"Lady in Red" by Chris DeBurg (I don't know why I picked that one, I've got lots more).
posted by GeckoDundee 30 November | 06:03
nu-metal. This counts as one song since every nu-metal song is the same and they all suck.

"Summer Girls" by LFO
and that New Radicals song where everybody runs around a mall in the video.

Both make me want to KILL! (and not in that good way)

Marconi plays the mamba, listen to the radio, dont you remember
We built this city, we built this city on rock and roll
posted by Otis 30 November | 09:38
good call, Otis. that song deserves extra hatred since it represents the ignominus end of a once great band.
posted by jonmc 30 November | 09:42
jrossi4r, I don't like Kokomo either. How did anyone get away with making a song which sounded so flat?
posted by halonine 30 November | 10:43
Gecko: I'm very sad you don't like "Lady in Red". It's one of my favorite songs because a) it features my favorite color and b) it's the perfect fantasy song for a young girl who sees all her junior high school friends dancing with boys during the slow songs at the dances and wishes that someone would dance with her.

I think I overidentify with that song so much. And I also think that song is the reason why my prom dress was red.

what's a loogan?

NOT MUCH, JASON'S_PLANET! WHAT'S A LOOGAN WITH YOU?

"She's like the wind" by Patrick Swayze.

"She's like the wind through my tree..."

nauseating...

Anything by Jason Mraz. "Remedy"? The only remedy I have when I hear that song is a sledge hammer to the radio.
