Yes, what is the story with comicbooks? I can only only read the title of JDC8's - "Stray Bullets". And wimpdork's might be "Lean" or "Clean" - which seems a funny name for a comicbook. o_0

JDC8 gave us free comic books -- a pair for each of us, wrapped. The long-table set-up combined with my general "Give me drink, don't make me stand up and walk, it's been too hard a day" laziness meant that I never got to talk to him, because he was at the other end of the table. When he handed me the comic books I did ask what his connection to them was, but conversational shifts (and, very possibly, the bourbon) obscured the answer.

So. My first comic book ever. Woo!

They do look very cool. Haven't opened mine yet, though.

I'm sure a lot of them are attractive, j_p, but let's be honest, there's no way everyone at every meetup dashiv attends can actually be as attractive as he makes them look.

I have to say, one of the things I most like about DaShiv's photos is that he's able to capture *exactly* how people actually do look. Not the crappy way that many of us usually look in photos, but the just totally natural way people look in everyday life. I can't say that I've ever seen a photo he's taken of someone I know in person and thought anything other than, "That so perfectly captures that person."
