Once upon a time, there was a glamorous attorney named Jan. She lived in Essex. One morning, while it was bucketing down with rain, she left her house and went to work.[More:]
When she got into work, she went to check her email. Inside was a letter from a name that she thought she recognised, but couldn't quite place. She opened the email and inside it was a Royal Mail tracking number.

She clicked on the Royal Mail tracking number and saw that it was for a package that would arrive that afternoon. For the rest of the day, she found it difficult to get any work done, in anticipation of the mysterious package.

After she got back from a tea break, she found the package sitting on her desk. It was a tiny snow-white package with a silky, red ribbon. She opened it up and inside was a pyramid-shaped prism with the traditional sign for On etched on one side.

With the tip of her right pinky finger, Jan delicately touched the On button. The pyramid lit up with a rainbow of colours: rich indigo at the base and scarlet at the top. As she rotated the prism, the colours changed, swirling through the prism like layers of cool and warm water.

A few seconds later, the colours faded to near transparency and finally subsided, leaving an ordinary glass prism again. She picked it up and stared intently at it, holding it up in the light. Around the On button was some tiny script:

E-Whuffles
