Suggest some cool Seattle sites to see! So my GF and I are heading up to visit some friends in Seattle and are looking for some offbeat things to do. I go to Seattle a lot but this is the first time with someone who wants to do more than hit the Trading Musician and Shorty's. I have already planned on going to the Boeing surplus center and could use some more suggestions.

gotta hit Elliott Bay Books. There's also the Erotic Bakery on N 45th. Wanna see a movie? Go to the Landmark on 50th and Roosevelt. Tiny, beautiful place.

The ferry over to Bainbridge and back. . .walk on. . .explore Winslow briefly, ride back. .minimum $$$, very pretty, coming back into Elliot Bay.

Meetup! When are you going to be here? Croc and I are meeting warbaby for breakfast at 10:00 on Sunday at the Blue Star.

Also: Ballard. Buy CDs at Sonic Boom, eat at Hattie's, see an alt-country or rockabilly show at the Tractor Tavern.

Kubota Gardens...or the Arboretum. Hang out on Broadway or University Way (AKA The Ave.)
Go shopping for Durian at Uwajimaya.
Head over to Alki Beach and have a beer.
Walk around Green Lake and eat at Spud's.
Spend an hour or so in Magic Mouse Toys.
Get coffee at B&O Espresso (before they tear it down)
Get dinner at Machiavelli's (Pine and Melrose)

They're tearing down the B&O? Is that the one on Olive street? Jeez. What are they going to put up there? Condos? Another Starbucks? Capitol Hill really ain't what it used to be.
