I saw Tracy Curtis at the Royal Oak in Halifax. Her music's pretty patchy, but she's got a couple of stand out tracks. She told a great story about
John Peel,
→[More:]and how after she sent her music to him, he sent a charming letter back thanking her for the demo tape, and asking where Amerford is. She wanted to write back, but didn't because she didn't want to go all fanboy on the mighty John Peel. Shortly after that, he died. This is her song to him and I think it's a corker. It makes me sad to hear it. Here's to telling people how much we love them when we can, in case it's the last time we see or speak to them. (* hugs e/j again *)
(In case it's not the song that's playing, hunt out "Dear John")
