I was just talking to a guy at work who knew someone who actually cuts down trees for a living. It's gotten to the point where they cut down trees with this robotic contraption that carries a person, who can use it to grab the tree, cut it off with twin 48" chansaw blades, lay it down, trim all the branches off and cut the trunk to length.

No romance in being a woodsman at all anymore.
