And if I only could, I'd make a deal with God. Have you ever made a deal with God? How'd it work out?
Yes.

On New Year's Eve this year. I begged him to not take my little cat away from me yet.

I got 5 more months.

I just lost him yesterday. He was 19.

I love you Humphrey. More than anything.

Man... I like Placebo and I love Kate Bush, but that remake sucks.

Kate Bush is so freaking weird that anybody covering her songs just sounds dishonest. They can't possibly know WTF she's on about, so they're just aping the sound of it, with no idea what the intent was.

No offense meant, and to answer the post itself, no, I've never made a deal with God.

You know, I'm not sure about that remake... just thought I'd put it out there for the hell of it. Thought it was interesting that someone would attempt it.

krix, I'm so sorry about your Humphrey. May he romp through the Elysian Fields and stalk little Elysian field mice forever.

I tried, but I waited at the wrong crossroads.

Fool me twice.

Humphrey was an epic cat, krix. It fucking suck that I'll have to break up the band.

But that's what Plant and Page did.

Bonham has nothing on that little orange being.

No.

And sympathies, krix.

I know I've made several, but I'm not sure what they were. This means I'm not sure what my end was to keep up, so it's no wonder my life is not sparkling perfect. Some jerk I am.

Many condolences, krix. Kitties are not only some of the most delightful friends we have, they're the most innocent and therefore the hardest to lose. There are no bad cats. My sympathies are with you.

I've submitted many deals, but I'm still waiting for the paperwork to get back.

I got buggered by a rather cute but obviously insane Austrialian girl wearing a strap-on.

When we lost my cat Lola, at 17, I thought I'd never get over it. I'd had her longer than I'd had my husband, at that point. I'd had her for more than half my life, in fact.

*hugs krix, tears in eyes*

Yeah - I made a deal with God. If I get up there, and he's refused entry to any of my friends, I'm gonna have a right old pop at him.

When I was a teenager I managed to be on a boat home from London, with my last borrowed bill hiding in my bra - I had spent four days in London flat broke after a visit from a pickpocket, so this last borrowed cash was my first food (and beer) for days.
The money travelled in my shirt, I couldn't find it, and I feared I had lost it all so I rush to the bathroom and mumble a drunken deal rather loudly in the stall. "please god lemme find my last money and I'll... I'll believe in you!"

Then when I check the bra, the money is still there, except in the other cup.

I scream WEEE and dash out of the stall, hitting a nun on the way out. That was hella weird.
