AskChat: iPod question. Will the power adapter for my 3rd gen iPod work with the power in the Netherlands if I get a plug adapter? I cannot tell from the manual, and the accessory kit that Apple sells looks as if it may just be fancy plug adapters (rather than transformers or whatever). All Googling turns up are sales sites, and all KnowledgeBase turns up is shite. TIA.
Every European country has 230V 50Hz power (well, actually, the UK still has 240V - within the 10% margin). The iPod charger accepts 100-240V 50-60Hz, so it'll work fine if you get a cheapo travel plug.

If you pull the plug bit off the charger, you'll see a standard IEC C7/"figure-of-eight" socket. So obtaining a suitable power cord is also an option.

well, you know, I just called the store and they were able to tell me. The answer is that the powercube does the stepdown and the kit is simply a set of overpriced plug adapters. Who thought the phone would be more powerful than the web.

(On preview: thanks flopsy!)

i bought their world travel adapter kit that has different plugs for diff. countries--you just pull out the us plug and put in whichever you need--it's worked fine all over.
