Any Call of Cthulhu fans here on Mecha? RPG in IRC? →[More:]I was drunk on Mecha IRC last night and the idea of having a tabletop RPG session on IRC on some random rainy Sunday afternoon oozed into by booze-soaked head.

Heh. I used to watch some guys at college play CoC, but never got into it myself. I don't think I'd played enough D&D to be bored and need to move on at that point, and I had yet to develop a real appreciation of the horror genre en suite.

Anyway, apropos of nothing, I walk past a tenant's SUV every day that has this sticker on the back window promoting wolf conservation. Except from about ten feet away it looks like it's a Yog-Sothoth sticker.

Slays me every time. They're so not the type.

I think I managed to snag a pdf of a CoC core rulebook from my ~~mispent~~ unemployed days bitrotting on a CD somewhere (and I have a stack of dead-tree rulebooks and supplements).

One can dream...

d20 or the Chaosium percentile system?

(PS The Xbox game starts off with some beautifully atmospheric stuff. Then it thins. And all the fun asphyxiates with it.)

Chaosium, but I'm open to trying new things (I've also played some Palladium d20 - haven't tried any TSR d20, though).
