Metachat, for better or worse, your bunny tarot for today is... The Tower.[More:]
≡ Click to see image ≡

The Tower is an unsettling card. Fire, lightning, falling on jagged rocks - definitely looks like trouble! Card 16 will not be welcomed by those who dislike change. It represents a sudden, dramatic upheaval or reversal in fortune. Usually change is gradual, giving us time to adapt, but sometimes it is quick and explosive. This is the action of the Tower.

In films, the hero sometimes slaps someone who is groggy or babbling. Having tried everything else, he finally resorts to a sharp sting to snap him out of it. Sudden crises are life's way of telling you to wake up. Something's wrong, and you're not responding. Are you too full of pride? Expect a blow to your ego. Are you holding back your anger? Expect the dam to burst. Are you stuck in a rut? Expect a surprise.

How you respond to the Tower's change makes all the difference in how uncomfortable the experience will be. Recognize that the disruption occurred because it was needed. Perhaps embracing the change is too much to ask, but try to find the positive in it. In fact, you may feel tremendous release that you have finally been forced in a new direction. You may have a burst of insight about your situation and reach a new level of understanding about it. (info via)

I choose to see this as an overturning of the bad string of luck/events that some of us have been going through.

Actually, I didn't like this card when I first pulled it, so I decided to try again... and drew some other cards. One was the Chariot and another was the six of wands *. I decided to go with the original card, but if we take those three as a three card spread, it seems pretty encouraging: Change/Victory/Triumph. Hell, yah - that sounds good to me.

(for completeness, the only other one I drew was the Queen of Wands, which evidently means we feel pretty.)

(Also, yesterday's card, if you missed it while we were on the run.)

Any chance the cards you draw could be listed together in one group taz?

I'm thinking of making a page with thumbnails of the cards so far, that will click through to the full size jpgs. Did you mean something like that?

Can we have your explantions too? Don't want much do I?

I'll try to do that... but I'm just stealing the explanations from learntarot.com. I like their take on things.

You can keep an eye on this blog that I just set up this instant... maybe that can work out to be a decent way to keep track of these.

I just have to note that I find bunny tarot ridiculously amusing. It's pretty damned excellent.

It took me a few minutes to find the bunny this time.

This rocks! Matches up with my favorite passage from Five Rings: "Crossing the Water."

Accordingly, I have launched my new offensive against evildoers today. They're gonna wish it was just lightning!

*Cheerfully goes off to check the torpedoes*
