#Metachat for Trillian users How do I make it work?→[More:] Gimme step by step answers, because I learn best that way.
um, make new connection, IRC. then i scrolled thru the list of networks until i got to user-defined, but there is probably already one there for slashnet.org. it's been a while since i used trillian, sorry.
IRC on trillian has always been easy for me, but I use old Trillian, like 2.73 or something like that.
Go to connection manager, make a new IRC connection, type irc.slashnet.org in the "server" field. Fill out the user/nickname info, make fake names for the "name" stuff (or just use username) then click "connect".
Right mouse click on the round grey ball on your main trillian window/list and select "toggle/show status window" (in new trillian i think it's "show status window".)
You should see it connecting.
You can right click on the same ball and choose "join channel" or you can type "/join #channelname" in the status window.
