I donated to WUNC, local NPR station this week. It's their fall fundraiser. Besides, I wanted my name in the drawing for an Alaska trip. (I didn't win.) →[More:]

This morning I'm thinking I may even donate more. I tolerated the "Rude Awakening" show on irieradio.com to listen to them interview the Teastick inventor (a friend of mine - you guys might remember I got accused on MeFi for shilling when I posted it there) for all of 3 minutes over the phone. It was polar opposite to NPR. Sheesh.

My uncle's going to be on air in Charlottesville tomorrow playing jazz records and asking for money. Should be fun, and I'm glad it's not me!

I would think a one time stunt like that (I'm assuming!) would be easier than being on the air 4 hours every day. I couldn't do it! ACK.
