The rape prevention office on my college canvas got urinal screens printed up that said, "You hold the power to stop rape in your hand."

Caused a big stink around campus. I have still one (unused) somewhere, snagged before it could go in the urinal at the sandwich shop I worked at.

Although I loved A Prayer For Owen Meany and The World According To Garp, I've always had a problem with Irving's portayal of women in his writing.

I read my first John Irving novel last summer, The Hotel New Hampshire. I read my second Tom Wolfe novel last fall, I Am Charlotte Simmons.

I think I will finish reading everything by Ken Kesey before I continue with either of the former.
